Born and raised in St. Catherine, Jamaica, Christine’s early life was marked by hardship. After suffering abuse and being dismissed when she sought help, she left home at just 14. With little formal education and no safety net, she could have become another tragic statistic. Instead, she became a force for transformation—first in her own life, then in her community.

By 17, Christine had launched her first T-shirt line and had become a mother. Later, as a producer at KOOL FM, her work on children’s rights earned recognition from UNICEF. But her path was far from easy. A debilitating illness forced her to leave radio, and though she found some relief through holistic medicine, financial struggle persisted.

Christine turned to natural living and launched a juice business—only to be pushed out by larger competitors. Still determined to provide for her family, she explored beekeeping, starting with just two hives. When thieves and ants destroyed her colonies, she rebuilt. With training from the Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA) and support from Food For The Poor, Christine’s apiary grew.

Today, her company Pure Natural Mystik is a thriving enterprise creating infused honeys, herbal products, body butters, soaps, and oils—all rooted in the byproducts of her hives. Her commitment to sustainability, wellness, and community empowerment shines through in every product she creates.

Christine has also been working closely with the EAB team and was one of the first participants in early beta tests of the EAB Connect platform. Her feedback and engagement have helped shape how EAB supports emerging entrepreneurs across Jamaica and beyond.

Perhaps most inspiring is how Christine pays it forward: training other mothers in beekeeping, homeschooling her children, and sharing her knowledge so others can rise as she did.
